Griffin holds a master's degree in Agricultural and Applied Economics from UW Madison. His past work has involved geospatial data analysis and econometric modeling related to renewable energy infrastructure and land use.   

At GLUE, he has leveraged GIS to track point sources of PFAs pollution across the state of Wisconsin. He is also exploring how land use decisions in residential areas can increase biodiversity and provide other localized environmental benefits. Outside of the lab he enjoys running, biking, cooking, and playing in a local band.
